Thai massage is a therapeutic and deeply relaxing experience that has been practiced in Thailand for centuries. It’s a little different from other types of massage you may have tried. Traditionally, Thai massage is done on a comfortable mat on the floor. In our practice you will be lying on a standard massage table for ease of access and greater movement of the body to position correctly. You’ll remain fully clothed throughout the session, as we don’t use oils in traditional Thai massage. The technique combines rhythmic pressure and gentle stretching. I’ll use my hands, thumbs, elbows, knees, and even my feet to apply pressure to specific points on your body. We’ll also move through a series of assisted stretches—like yoga poses—to release tension, improve flexibility, and enhance circulation. The goal is to balance your body’s energy flow, which we call ‘Sen’ lines, while also relieving muscle tension and promoting relaxation. It’s a very holistic approach to wellness, so you may feel both relaxed and re-energized by the end of the session.
